Endoscopic Light source (AEL) based on micro xenon technology - Electromedical and Medical Equipment Application
05 FR GECA 0CS2

Abstract
A French company designed a high-speed curing light unit based on micro xenon technology with electromedical and medical equipment application. They look for new applications for this generator of light, such as endoscopy. They are looking for a commercial agreement with technical assistance or/and a joint venture agreement.

Description
A Presently, by filling and collage works, surgeons and dentists need to be able to polymerise the material properly, no matter how great the distance caused by the cavity shape (between the tip and the surface to be polymerised) while guaranteeing the tooth does not overheat, thereby reducing chirurgical risk and whatever photo-polymerising material they chose to use.
To answer these requirements, a French company designed a high-speed curing light unit based on micro xenon technology. The light source and technology were chosen in order to improve the quality and the reliability of polymerisation. This lamp allows to face all the difficulties and more particularly the delicate clinical cases and to achieve all works of closings and stickings.
The 2 lamps with its micro-xenon technology provide a perfect and exclusive result as the distance between the surface to be polymerised and the tip increases. In addition the heat produced is half as much as halogen lamps. These 2 advantages are common to all photo-polymerisable products. The product developed is a light source for fibre optic application. The outlet is prepared to focalise on a 5 mm diameter fibre. It uses a DL35/745 lamp. The power outlet is comparable with a light source equipped with 180 W xenon lamps.
The polymerising lamp has to fit unobtrusively into surgical environment. It is supplied with a bracket that can be fitted to the side of a unit or cabinet. The dimensions of this lamp make it easier to install on the work surface where it takes up very little space. The hand set holder is self-adhesive and self-locking, providing users with great freedom of choice to fit it.

Innovative Aspects:
- Long-life lamp: 2500 hours, 35W
- Good light
- Better results as a halogen lamp and same results as an arc lamp of 180 watt

Main Advantages:
- It does not consume a lot of energy
- It does not release a lot of heat
- It gives a lot of light
- A very long-life lamp
