Wide Angle Projector to project
changing patterns in white light
05 FR GECA 0COO
Abstract
A
French company wishes to develop a
wide-angle projector for implementation in a photographic industrial
application. The purpose of this device is to project patterns orchestrated
by an order coming from a computer. A different pattern is projected in the
photographed scene during each snapshot. The company is seeking a partner
(industry, research organisation) for technical co-operation, support and/or
development.
Description
A French company wishes to develop and use a wide-angle projector for
implementation in a photographic industrial application for mechanics,
health or textile applications. The purpose of this device is to project
patterns orchestrated by an order coming from a computer. A different
pattern is projected in the photographed scene during each snapshot.
Requirements:
- Reduce the dimensions of the photographic industrial application.
- Flashed pattern projection to avoid the use of a cooling system.
- Easy to maintain.
Technical Specifications / Specific technical requirements:
- 24bits projected pattern.
- Resolution 1024*768 (minimal: 800*600).
- Pattern projected in 256 grey levels.
- Permanent pattern projection.
- Pattern is controlled with the SVGA (Super Video Graphics Array) output of
a computer.
- Refresh time of the LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) (or equivalent) is <32ms.
- The projected pattern is selected within several preloaded pattern
(typically 16).
- The pattern uploading is fast (<64ms/pattern).
- The pattern change is TTL (Transistor -Transistor Logic) -controlled.
- A TTL signal confirms the availability of the pattern for the projection.
- The pattern can be changed and projected at a speed of 30 images/second.
- The volume to be covered with the projector start at a distance of 0.80m
(minimal: 1.10 m) and has the following dimensions: 1.80m (width) * 2.20m
(height) * 0.8m (depth).
- The projected pattern must be focused in the whole projection volume.
- The projected pattern must not be distorted (a straight line in the
pattern must stand straight in the scene).
