A German research institute developed a new dye. The technology offered provides water-soluble magenta azo phenyl acrylic acid dyes for use in inkjet printing. The dyes produce prints with high colour brilliance, high light fastness and a long storage life. A further economic advantage is that the dyes can be synthesised inexpensively.
