The Joint Research Centre of the European Commission developed an active RFID seal for the transport of precious or dangerous material under continuous monitoring. This device tracks the material throughout its journey, verifies its correct installation or illegal violation, stores useful information, it is reusable and can be coupled with GPS antennas.
